The island of Cyprus can be found in the Eastern area of the Mediterranean with the best time to visit being in the summer months. I have been in February and was kind of like an ok British summer day, just warm enough so I wouldn't recommend it for the February school break. The best time is the summer months of June to September which of course means higher prices for a Cyprus holiday.

However you could try the shoulder months, the beginning or end of the season so kind of May and September time when the kids have returned to school and your Cyprus holiday will be much more peaceful (if that is what you are after) with temperatures at a reasonable 24 degrees Celsius.

Holiday in Cyprus, to Ayia Napa is where we stayed and I can highly recommend you stay there too. It's a coastal village which can be found on the south half of the island. The north is occupied by Turkey; it is an interesting trip to the border to see the guards patrolling the area and a look across the unoccupied border. Back to Ayia Napa it is a great location for all since there is plenty of party life of the young people (it's now as famous for the parties as Ibiza) and then there is the beaches for those who just want to relax and plenty of families activities too.

Its home to the Water World Water Park which will keep the small and big kids entertained for hours with it boasting as being the 'largest themed water part in the world', mountain rides and once your dry, go-karting too.

There is the huge beach road for those who want their Cyprus holidays to be a party holiday, which is littered with pubs up and down for miles plus clubs to keep you entertained into the small hours and maybe even breakfast time. Cyprus holidays offers a great holiday for anyone.
